Our Green Schools committee has some very exciting news to share!

We recently planted 50 trees as part of the Hare’s Corner initiative. It was a fantastic event, and everyone got involved digging, planting and learning about how important trees are for our planet. By planting these trees, we are helping to create more space for nature through the
creation of habitats. This means more homes for birds, bees, butterflies and other wildlife. In a few years’ time, we will even have our very own mini woodland at school!

There’s more good news too, our Gardening Club will be starting back at lunchtime from the 4th of March. If you enjoy planting, weeding, watering or just being outdoors, make sure to come along. It’s a great way to help our school stay green and beautiful.

Let’s keep working together to make our school a greener and happier place!

They have been busy organizing a poster slogan competition, ensuring our bins are sorted correctly and reminding everyone of the importance of conserving energy.

We were delighted to have Dee Sewell, an Environmental Awareness Officer visit our school and carry out a workshop on how to correctly sort our waste.

Our Green School Committee meets fortnightly to discuss ideas and to bring forward any concerns, ideas of their peers.

This year we will apply for the renewal of our flag under the theme Litter and Waste Global Citizenship.

Our action plan for the coming months includes a poster and slogan competition, setting up a re-turn scheme in the school and a rota for Picker Pals.
